      How to create your own autumn affirmations

      1. Identify a negative thought: Think about a negative thought you often have about yourself. This is where you’ll start making a change
      1. Imagine your ideal self: Picture the best version of yourself, who has the opposite of that negative thought. What positive qualities do they have?
      2. Step into your ideal self: Close your eyes and imagine BECOMING this ideal version of you
      1. Feel the difference: What does it feel like to be this positive version of yourself? What thoughts do you have? How do you treat yourself?
      1. Choose positive feelings: Pick three positive thoughts or feelings that you want to bring back with you. These will be your affirmations
      1. Write down your affirmations: Write down these positive thoughts or feelings as simple, clear statements. E.g. ‘I am confident and grounded’, ‘I love myself deeply’ etc…
      1. Recite them daily: Every morning, look in the mirror and say your affirmations out loud. Pretend you are already this ideal version of yourself.
      1. Connect words with feelings: When you say your affirmations, feel the positive emotions connected to them. This makes them more powerful. Repetition and emotion are going to help you change your life!

      I hope you enjoyed these autumn affirmations. Try to use them every day by embedding them into your daily routine. I like to say my affirmations first thing in the morning between waking up and actually getting out of bed (that time gap can end up being a LOOONG time!).
